Services
Good accounting isn't a cost, it's an investment. We find what's holding the business back financially, then fix it — and keep it fixed.
New (Pty) Ltd registrations, name reservations, director amendments, annual returns and beneficial ownership filings. Registered and compliant from day one.
Income tax, provisional tax, capital gains and dividends tax. We plan ahead rather than react — so there are no surprises in October.
Registration once you cross the R2.3 million threshold — or voluntarily from R120 000 a year — plus accurate VAT201 submissions every cycle. Input tax claimed, output tax correct.
Monthly payslips, EMP201 and EMP501 submissions, UIF and SDL. Fringe benefits and travel allowances treated correctly — the area SARS is auditing hardest.
Compiled to IFRS for SMEs, signed off and ready for the bank, a lender or a buyer. Management accounts monthly if you need to see it sooner.
Cash flow, planning, and whether you should be trading as a company at all. Practical answers from someone who has seen the numbers.
Registered companies ready to trade, with the tax, VAT or customs registrations already in place. See the three options below.
Shelf companies
Registering from scratch takes weeks. Our shelf companies are already registered, already compliant, and ready to trade — pick the one that matches the contract you're trying to sign.
Representative activation and bank account opening are included at no additional cost with every shelf company purchase. You take delivery of a company that can invoice, bank and trade — not a shell you still have to finish.
How it works
A free first consultation. Bring whatever you have — even if it's a shoebox and three years of unopened SARS letters. We'll tell you honestly what needs fixing and what it will cost.
Outstanding returns submitted, penalties disputed where there are grounds, registrations brought up to date. You'll know exactly where you stand with SARS, usually for the first time.
Monthly bookkeeping, payroll and VAT run on a fixed schedule. Deadlines are ours to worry about. You get a call when something needs a decision.
2026 filing season
SARS runs the season in phases, and which one applies to you decides your deadline. Penalties start the day after it passes.
R250 to R16 000 a month, compounding for every month a return stays outstanding — and they don't stop until it is filed and any liability settled. An outstanding return can also flag your SARS profile for verification, which slows every refund after it.
About VSI
VSI Accountants works with South African businesses that have real compliance obligations — with or without a finance department. Where there is one, we work alongside it. Where there isn't, we fill that role.
Most of our clients come to us after something has gone wrong: a penalty notice, a VAT registration missed, a set of books that haven't been touched in two years. We're comfortable with that. Sorting it out is the job.
What we won't do is disappear between deadlines. You'll have a direct line to your accountant, and you'll get an answer the same day.
